What is the Money Tree Savings Club?
It is a special savings program that children through age 12 can come to Farmers & Merchants State Bank and deposit their money into their savings account. Once a month, Farmers & Merchants State Bank has a Money Tree Saturday. On this Saturday, you can earn stamps for prizes when you bring your deposit for your Money Tree savings account.
Why should my child join the Money Tree Savings Club?
Farmers & Merchants State Bank wishes to take an active role in teaching children regular savings habits and helping them feel comfortable in our bank. Money Tree Savings Club makes this possible to work with the parents to achieve this goal. The third Saturday of each month is designated as Money Tree Saturday.
Why is the Money Tree Savings Club special?
Money Tree members are given special treatment when they come to Farmers & Merchants State Bank. Each Money Tree member will receive a t-shirt with the Money Tree logo on it and their own special savings passbook. As a Money Tree Club member, you will receive a preferred interest rate on your Money Tree Savings Account and Certificates of Deposit.
What special events are planned for the Money Tree Savings Club?
In the Spring, we plant a tree to commemorate Arbor Day. The emphasis is on the importance of good stewardship of our environment. With the fine assistance of the Winterset Parks & Recreation Department, trees have been planted in various parks around Winterset. The tree planting is followed with a picnic-style pizza party!!
It sure feels good to cool off in the Summer with our private swimming party at the Winterset Pool. I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!! Yes, everybody receives an ice cream treat!!
Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus visit our bank at the December Money Tree Club Saturday to take special Christmas requests for all!!! Come whisper in the ear of Santa Claus all those wonderful gifts you have on your list!!
All of our events are family affairs! We welcome parents and siblings to attend Money Tree activities with their children. All special events are provided at no cost to the parents or Money Tree members.
Be sure to watch your Madisonian and Shopper for our Money Tree advertisements for more fun family Money Tree events. You may call F&M bank at 515-462-4242 or e-mail Stephanie Gerleman at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
